Aloha!
The last course before summer has begun and it's called Laboratory Medicine and Pathology and i really love biology but this course is killing every cell of enthusiasm i have about it.
The second day has just finished and i think its getting ridiculous. My honest opinion about the course so far is that it's a waste of time. It's clearly a difficult subject on which we have to learn very much in a very small span of time.
Now I wouldn't criticize this course if i couldn't do it better or if i didn't have/know the millimetre steps that would show huge improvements but now i do and therefore i'm writing it off!
On Monday (yesterday) we had an introduction. It didn't have the greatest start but it was okay. The lecture afterwards was however great fun to listen to. It was about the Complement system and she made a very complex system so easy to remember *hooray*. After lunch we had another teacher who talked about Haemostasis defects and she was also really good, mostly because she was "alive" when she was talking and she did give out hand-out's. Which is a big plus in the corner!
Today the first lesson was with a teacher who ONLY talked. No handouts, no visual stimulus - nothing, however the way the man talked; it was still okay, but still something from the lesson wouldn't been a bad thing - the bad thing however was that he went on for 90 minutes WITHOUT a break.
After the morning verbal class there was one about Haemolytic, and haemoglobin particles. That class was great, the lecturer was fun and she made it interactive but the last one we had today was without a doubt the most boring and mundane i've had. *Tviii!* As we say here in Sweden
You know a very wise man (Einstein) once said:
If you can't explain it simply,
you don't understand it well enough.
I agree with this quote.
Does it offend you?
Does it offend you?
