I've been in a very crafty mood, especially last weekend. Below are the things i've been doing :)

Canvas painting: Freya

The Progress of 'Freya'

Why Freya? The name was given after i finished the painting - or actually it was after i had finished the colouring part. The name seemed to match her essence.  So i googled to find out if it had something to do with the meaning of it. 

Following paragraphs are concluded from various sites: 

The name is derived from Freyja, who is a Norse goddess of love and fertility and the mythological wife of Odin.She is a noblewoman and her name can also mean the Queen of Gods.  

Freya is a girl with a fierce amount of energy. She is smart, relentless and in tune with herself. She is determent and stubborn and loves most people IF they treat her right. She is a woman who knows her worth and takes crap from no one. She is smarter than you would think and she loves to compete with boys AND win. She bows for no man!  

She has deep desires for a stable, loving family or community, a need to work with other and to be appreciated. Her personality is like a party starter. She is the "hub" at the parties. She is more of a leader than a follower and has a powerful personality. She tend to focus on specific goals, experiences a wealth of creative ideas and also have the ability to implement them with efficiency and determination. She is a unique and creative individual and her weakness is that she is sometimes too stubborn, proud and impatient.

School is rolling and we have long... long days... however i think that the practical laborations are soo much fun! I have so far done two laborations. The first was with identifying different bacteria's and the second was testing bacteria resistance and doing an API 20E. All three have so far been going great! Now there is just laboration-reports to write ;)

Sitting here slightly stunned.... thinking about the fact that Christmas is just around the corner and just looking back on the year that has past.... it has been amazing! Thinking about what i have archived and how hard work pays off in the end.

Happy New Year

Today is the Indian New Year and we are moving onto the year 2069*whiee* I'm sorry for being MIA, which is mostly because of a full packed school schedule and Life! Got 4 intense weeks ahead with load to do. Luckily, i'll be able to work on another mini creature in clay soon :)

I finished "Erstwhile" last week and had lots and lots of fun creating it :D Now exams are coming up so i'll see when i can time-in the next project - maybe in late November; early December. Oh look at the time! i have to carry on studying. You guys have a great morning/evening and i'll hear from myself soon!

Finished Work "Erstwhile"

Had great fun doing "Erstwhile."

 Took about a month to make and will soon be up in the shop :)

Wherever you go, whatever you do, may your Guardian angel watch over you.

Finished working on the Guardian and it feels fantastic! The thing missing was a proper frame and some intensity to the wings.... i also framed the Warrior with some glow. Not too much so that is blends with the wings but just enough to hint that there is a glow. Some minor errors have been corrected and i am happy with the final result :) 

The painting has built an aura around it because every morning, i'm not joking but, every morning (and evening;) it shimmers in a very delicate way and if you place a candle in front of the painting it seems like you're under a spell because of the reflection from the gold glitter.

Guardian

So the idea is to paint the angel in the middle of the portal.

The question is "how to make the angel express what i want to convey"

Good day, got another day off school, which is because of the oral exam i had yesterday, which, by the way, went good :) I can't wait until the results comes out next week. I pretty sure i passed!

Life, life is slightly unreal for me at the moment. Summer has gone by so fast ! I've achieved my summer goals and I have taken my DRIVER'S LICENCE! I've worked at the county hospital and loved every minute of it! I've got to know new wonderful people and spending time with close friends and family and *baaam* I'm back at Uni and enrolled in the next course !

Lightning and Thunder

Last night there was a great deal of thunder, lightning and rain. With my window open i could hear the whole performance. I guess Shankar Bhagwan was doing one of his dances up in heaven but that is just a guess. There could be natural explanations too ;) 


The weekend has passed by so fast, and my brother has arrived safe and sound. Words cannot tell how relieved i am that the journey went smoothly. I think he is on a fun fair today. No rest for the big guy.


Additionally, i was working and going through the pictures that I had taken from the graduation parties i attended too last Friday and the person who "hired me" is going to get an album of her pictures and you are going to get a preview of it too - so stay tuned!


Now something more serious. Anger. 

Amdãvãd-8: When we Become Angry on Someone...“In general, whenever we become angry on someone, we should realise that person to be a devotee of our master, Shri Narnãrãyan, and instantly forsake our arrogance, bow down to him and pray. However, one should never maintain a superficial perspective by believing, ‘I am senior and better than him; whereas he is not senior but a mere junior.’ One should not entertain such a feeling. In fact, even our Ishtadev, Shri Narnãrãyan, does not keep any arrogance or anger; so as his followers and the members of this Uddhav Sampradãy, we should renounce all forms of anger and arrogance. 

Anger is only one letter short of danger and I think that it is important to know that when a person becomes angry for the wrong reasons they are no different from animals out of control. I pity those. However the people who get angry on the right person at the right time for the right reason has a great respect from me. They are the ones that stand up for their self worth and injustice.

Now have I done any work lately? Yes I have, as a matter of fact Puffe has been in touch and needed some help with Mazen's header. Actually it was me remarking and bouncing ideas for him to use. Ended up with giving him a preview he seemed to like. Here is something for you to observe

Notice that it is not done yet. (Work in progress)The right side is going to be edited and the dancer might or might not be there after the customer has approved or disapproved the design.

About the sculpture i worked with, he is created and his name is Willow. Pictures will come up shortly and now I have to catch the day.
