say something i'm giving up on you

Giving up is NOT an option(!!)... yet the temptation is there. My hands are full! Planning planning and planning. Don't even have time to relax because this course is overload

I have felt both pathetic and feeble this week but today my body stopped me. Woke up with this funny feeling i get when i'm about to get sick and i knew that if i don't pull the breaks right now, my Christmas will be celebrated in bed and sleep (don't mind the sleeping part though:])

Moving on, i love my new placement at the Virology - it's great fun and i will be an expert on E.L.I.S.A and all things around the method of analysis. It feels great, however what doesn't feel that great is the working-over-time-without-a-choice/stress/no time.

The math is simple:
School is 8 hrs a day = 40 hrs a week. That's what CSN base the grant on to the students.
This mandatory course requires ~35 hrs/week (personal time for studies included) and 21 days attendance.
If i try to make this work it will look something like:
  • School requires: 8hrs = 40hrs/week = 160hrs month
    • I work full time which is 9 hours a day 5 days a week = 45 hours/week = 180hrs month
    • Mandatory assignments
      • Period 1) 4-5 page essay about the method
      • Period 1) Brief essay about Ethics.
      • Period 2) Oral Presentation with powerpoint
[this one is gonna be awesome i'm telling you! ;)]
      • Period 2) Oppression on another students presentation.
    • Which means i got 20 hours overtime = 2,5 days off to use for school work and summaries (=18,5 days attendance).
I am beat by the time i get home; yet i still have to make lunch for the next day, laundry, grocery shopping, shower, sleep(!) etc. However I understand i can't quit earlier since i'll miss out on the routine at the lab and that is totally fine but those 21 days needs to be cut down.  Here's why: It doesn't add up. If i attend, full-time, for maybe three(?!) weeks and i'm a good student, i do my homework and ask when i don't understand etc. but why should i waste precious time i could use for the mandatory assignments and make a brilliant presentation and/or essay? Now correct me if i'm wrong but what i'm trying to say is days don't matter hours do!!!!  Add value to the hours... everyone wins!

To sum up this up I'm sick and it feels like crap when the system doesn't allow any hours for personal studies or rest. Wish me get well soon? -  thank you :)

    Gotta go to sleep,
    Much love,
    Wave

ps. thank you for reading me rant on here, you're the best!
